Frontline Heros Pickleball Challenge
What is the Frontline Heroes Pickleball Challenge format?
It is a series of three tournaments to be held at Morgan’s Playland Sports Complex and a season ending Masters Tournament on October 16-17, 2021 at Chicken N Pickle. Teams of four players compete in two days of timed round robin play with the top two teams in each group going into a final single elimination knock out round for the championship. The top teams in each group will qualify for the Masters. Qualification for the Masters is simple; play at least two tournaments or win one of the four tournaments. The Master’s is free for all qualifiers and will be two days of exciting play, food, and prizes
Who is eligible to play Frontline Heroes Pickleball Challenge?
Teams are grouped by occupational affiliation. The series is divided into four groups representing Frontline occupations: Department of Defense, Healthcare, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Response. All currently employed, retired, family members or friends of these groups are eligible to compete. You must be at least 21 years old.
Frontline Heroes Pickleball Challenge Mission and Goal
Proceeds from the tournament go to support research and study for holistic approaches to mental health. The Frontline Heroes Pickleball Challenge goal is to show our appreciation for the service of our Frontline services and an opportunity to engage in a fun and exciting sport for all level players of the nation’s fastest growing sport.
Event Format
Teams of 4 players play doubles against opposing team for three rounds of timed play.
Teams may be comprised of male and female members.
You may have up to 6 team members, but only four members play in a round. You may substitute for each round if you wish or necessary.
Each round is 20 minutes.
At the end of each round score is reported.
Players switch partners and play two more rounds, switching partners each time.
